Purchasing an older home has been just one surprise after another. We had no idea what was planted and we continue to see new plants and flowers popping up. We have this group of sparse shrubs in the back that didn't seem like they fared too well in last years drought and we were considering moving them or just waiting for them to die off. Yesterday I was in the backyard and there was this overwhelming aroma. I turned towards the bushes and BEHOLD!!!! Gardenias! I'm in heaven.

Your photos of flowers just take my breath away!
And...I am giggling at the photos of your crazy (drunk?) neighbors' cars...
I love photographing flowers. Such natural beauty! And I'm glad you're getting a giggle about the cars. Fortunately it's just the two neighbors that do it. The lady next door is like 600 years old so she has an excuse at least!
I'm jealous! I love gardenias - I tried growing them once & they died. Much like most of what I try to grow! ;)
that is awesome!
Thanks ladies. They don't really make a great cut flower, but I still managed to cut a couple and put in a shot glass. They smell just amazing!
Dear Jeni,
Thank you for reading my blog and for leaving a comment. Love the pictures on yours!

I have a balcony, and my husband has put some pots of herbs out there. So that's somewhat like your totally impressive flowers... right?
Fresh herbs are the bomb Stephen! (ewwww did I just say that?)
